Set in the hills of the Western Ghats, the plantation and homestay is nestled within 24 acres of the certified organic Magnolia Mist community. It offers a chance to explore the unique biodiversity and landscape of the Western Ghats in Coorg. This region is known for its soft rolling hills, where lush tropical rainforests are wedged between rich grassland and fertile valley’s. These tropical rainforest harbour a stunning array of life forms many of which are seen nowhere else on the planet.
Our aim is to share our fascination and wonder of the mysterious, magical and diverse natural world that surrounds us. This world is fast disappearing and we believe that each one of us has a role to play in protecting it, and only by starting to be aware of this beauty and fragility can we even begin to make a change. The challenge for us here is to find a balance between bringing back the forest while also practicing sustainable agriculture.
We are by no means a luxury resort but we offer clean, hygienic, simple accommodation and a spread of sumptuous mostly home grown organic pure vegetarian food. The place is meant for those who appreciate simplicity, greenery, clean air, fresh water, long quiet walks, lingering meals and a beautifully orchestrated song of birds, cicadas and frogs.

The Mystical Magnolia
This ancient, magnificent Champaka tree is the spirit of our land. Which has stood witness to the fast changing environment. Its age is estimated to be between 1200-1500 years old. It harbours an astonishing array of like on it, from a bee hive to inpatients, orchids, civet cats, fish owls, porcupines and many more smaller living being.
During the summer rains the entire tree gets covered with millions of fire flies, making it breath taking experience.
